Rancho Bernardo

Inland Sanctuary

Before most of the other areas in North County Inland were built there was Rancho Bernardo with it’s 1960’s through 1990s architecture. It’s an established neighborhood with lots of golf courses and mature trees at a great price. Many retirement communities in the area as well as condominiums. It has a rich history including the Rancho Bernardo Inn a golf-side resort and restaurant in the heart of the North Rancho Bernardo.

There are many churches, medical care facilities and schools. Just west of Highway 15 are the Westwood and High Country West areas build in the 1980s with a big concentration of single family homes. Check out the aerial tour below.

Area Highlights

Rancho Bernardo has a longer history than the areas around it. You'll find established neighborhoods with a lot of 1960's ,1980s and 1990s architecture. With lots of golf courses and retirement communities it offers a slower pace of life and prices that are much more reasonable than newer areas to the west. It is also in the Poway school district.
