Rancho Penasquitos

Once upon a time this community was a long way from the coast requiring a drive down highway 15 all the way to Highway 52. But around the year 2000 highway 56 was built resulting in direct coast access. Rancho Penasquitos was built up in the 1980s and 1990s with the style and architecture of the time.

Prices for the older homes are significantly less than those in other communities along highway 56. It sits just south of the Black Mountain Open Space and just north of the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve a rare jewel of open space running from highway 5 all the way to Highway 15 and great place to ride bikes, horses or hike. So when it comes to open space, Rancho Penasquitos is a rare find so close to Highway 56.
